The Korea Editors Association (President Kim Chang-hwan) and the Jongno Cultural Foundation (CEO Yoo Kwang-jong) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 19.
Through the agreement, both organizations pledged to △ promote coexistence between culture, arts, and the media △ support expertise and infrastructure established in each field △ build joint strategies to revitalize the media and cultural arts △ carry out cooperative projects utilizing human and material resources △ mutually utilize cultural and promotional content.
Additionally, in July, starting with an exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the association’s founding in Jongno, the center of politics, media, and culture, they plan to communicate closely for the mutual development of culture, arts, and the media.
Kim Chang-hwan, president of the Korea Editors Association, said, “Jongno, where the history of Korean media is rooted, and the Jongno Cultural Foundation, a cultural arts institution representing Jongno, will collaborate to reflect on 60 years of editorial history and prepare for the association’s centennial future.”
Yoo Kwang-jong, CEO of the Jongno Cultural Foundation, stated, “We hope you will watch with interest the fruits cultivated by the joined hands of ‘Jongno,’ the center of the media, and the ‘Korea Editors Association,’ the power of the media.”
