The Pohang Cultural Foundation held the "3rd Pohang Janggi Exile Culture Festival" from the 19th to the 20th in the Janggi-myeon area.
Janggi-myeon in Pohang City is a region where 220 exiles passed through during the Joseon Dynasty, leaving exile culture as a historical and cultural resource.
Notable figures include Wuam Song Si-yeol and Dasan Jeong Yak-yong. The era's greatest scholars lived in exile in Janggi, interacting with local residents and passing on their knowledge.
Under the theme "Embracing the Past, Facing the Future," the festival reflected on the footsteps of Wuam and Dasan and provided an opportunity to revisit their scholarship and stories through various academic, literary, and performance events.
