Active Investment Attraction Activities Targeting Hydrogen-Related Companies and R&D Institutions
On the 17th and 18th, Pohang City attended the ‘2024 Spring Academic Conference’ hosted by the Korean Hydrogen & New Energy Society, introducing the region’s major hydrogen infrastructure and conducting investment attraction activities for the hydrogen fuel cell cluster targeting R&D institutions and companies.
Pohang City attended the 2024 Spring Academic Conference held on the 17th and 18th at the Ramada Hotel in Jeju, where it conducted investment attraction activities for the hydrogen fuel cell cluster.
The Korean Hydrogen & New Energy Society’s spring and autumn academic conferences have been held annually since 2000, with about 1,500 participants including companies playing a key role in the hydrogen industry, R&D institutions, and government officials. The event serves as a platform to introduce major government policies and domestic and international hydrogen industry trends.
On this day, Pohang Technopark operated a promotional booth for the ‘Hydrogen Fuel Cell Certification Center,’ which can conduct testing and certification (KOLAS, KS, large capacity) across all fields of hydrogen fuel cell systems and core materials and components. The booth promoted the equipment and evaluation certifications held by the certification center, attracting great interest from conference attendees.
Additionally, Pohang City placed promotional leaflets for recruiting tenant companies for the hydrogen fuel cell cluster and actively engaged in one-on-one consultations with companies, promoting Pohang as a ‘City Good for Hydrogen Companies.’
Jung Kyu-deok, Director of the Hydrogen Energy Division, stated, “We will continue to participate in various forums and exhibitions to promote Pohang’s excellent investment conditions and R&D infrastructure status, and actively carry out investment attraction activities for the hydrogen fuel cell cluster.”
Pohang City plans to revitalize the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Certification Center so that companies’ prototypes can accelerate entry into domestic and international markets through accurate and prompt evaluation and certification, and to implement various support policies to enable more hydrogen-related companies to smoothly use the certification center.
