Hosted and organized by the Korea Cycling Federation, this competition will feature about 400 participants from 84 teams across six divisions, including middle school boys and girls, high school, and general categories, competing in 14 events in intense races.

The Presidential Cup National Cycling Competition boasts the largest scale among national cycling competitions organized by the Korea Cycling Federation. Except for last year, when the event was not held due to COVID-19 and stadium renovations, it has been consistently held in Naju City since 2001, firmly establishing itself as Naju's representative sports event.

In particular, attention is focused on the performance of the Naju City Hall cycling team even before the competition begins.

Kim Ha-eun, the ace of Naju City Hall and a female national cycling representative who won a silver medal at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games last year, and Na Yoon-seo, who won five titles at last year's Asian Junior Championships and newly joined this year as a junior national representative, are drawing interest with their fast-paced races.

The city expects that this competition will broaden young athletes' perspectives on cycling and serve as a solid foundation for the development of Korean cycling.

Additionally, the six-day event is anticipated to bring significant economic and cultural vitality.

Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, "We support the passionate enthusiasm of national cycling athletes, who are the future of Korean cycling," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that the teams visiting Naju in the future can leave with only good memories without any safety accidents."
