Basic Agricultural Theory Education and Field Experience at Leading Farms Conducted
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do is recruiting students for the farming and fishing migration course of the ‘Wando-gun Return-to-Farming and Fishing Hope School’ until the 8th of next month.
On the 19th, the Hope School for Return-to-Farming and Fishing announced that it will operate for prospective returnees to farming and rural areas in the first half of the year, and for prospective returnees to fishing and rural areas in the second half.
This training is a residential program designed to help prospective farmers settle in rural areas, consisting of customized courses such as basic agricultural theory and field experience at leading farms.
The recruitment targets are prospective farmers living in cities who are interested in agriculture, farmers who have moved to Wando-gun within the last five years, and non-agricultural residents in rural areas. A total of 25 people will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
The training will be held for five days from the 20th to the 24th of next month at the Marine Biology Research Center of Chosun University in Sinji-myeon, and students who complete 30 hours of training will be issued a certificate of completion.
To apply, applicants must prepare the application form, self-introduction letter, and other required documents and submit them by visiting the Return-to-Rural Support Team of the Population and Job Policy Office in Wando-gun, or by mail or email.
A county official said, “We will actively support those who wish to return to farming by providing opportunities for education that can actually help in agriculture, so that they can settle stably in our county.”
