Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 19th that it conducted training on the proper use of agricultural machinery for about 50 new farmers who recently returned to farming or relocated to rural areas as part of its efforts to strengthen 'agricultural machinery safety education.'
Following a series of agricultural machinery accidents in the region during the farming season, the county urgently implemented measures to enhance safety education for returning farmers, rural migrants, women, and the elderly.
The training emphasized ▲ reducing speed in advance when driving agricultural machinery on narrow farm roads or sloped paths ▲ prohibiting passengers other than the driver ▲ wearing protective gear when using brush cutters.
The Gochang Agricultural Technology Center plans to provide systematic education to help prospective farmers settling in the county successfully establish themselves.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, “Since agricultural machinery work is related to safety, we will conduct multiple on-site practical training sessions if necessary to achieve zero agricultural machinery safety accidents.”
