Nongshim Employee Blood Donation Campaign to Support Children with Leukemia and Pediatric Cancer

By the 3rd of next month, over 250 participants from headquarters and nationwide factories
Blood donation certificates to be delivered to pediatric patients

Nongshim announced on the 19th that it will conduct an employee blood donation campaign at its headquarters in Sindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, as well as at its factories nationwide including Anyang, Anseong, Asan, Gumi, Busan, and Noksan, until the 3rd of next month.

About 250 Nongshim employees are expected to participate in the blood donation campaign. The blood donation certificates will be delivered to pediatric leukemia and cancer patients who require transfusions during treatment through the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association.

This campaign is part of Nongshim’s support activities for pediatric leukemia and cancer patients, which has been ongoing for seven years this year. Since 2018, Nongshim has been providing Baeksansu water monthly so that patients with weakened immune systems, who find it difficult to choose safe drinking water, can drink with confidence. The total donated amount has reached approximately 1.24 million bottles to date.

In addition, to mark World Pediatric Cancer Day (February 15), Nongshim conducts various sponsorship projects such as a drawing contest expressing the dreams and hopes of patients, the Simsim Kit which delivers gifts on patients’ birthdays and bone marrow transplant anniversaries, and Simsim Trekking to raise awareness of pediatric cancer.

A Nongshim official stated, "We plan to deliver the precious love of employees who participated in the blood donation to pediatric leukemia and cancer patients," and added, "We will continue to carry out various activities that empower the patients."
