Baemin's operator Woowa Brothers announced on the 19th that it held the launch ceremony of the 'Dining Industry Advisory Group' at the Baemin Academy Seoul Center located in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The group consists of 12 experts from academia and industry, including professors related to dining, dining industry researchers, and chefs.
The advisory group plans to assist restaurant owners in making strategic decisions by suggesting ways to reduce costs while increasing productivity. It will provide consulting for practical growth, from proposing sales increase and store efficiency improvement plans to applying them according to store situations. In July, a 'Dining Management Efficiency Summit' will also be held, featuring public lectures and panel discussions inviting restaurant owners.
The main tasks include ▲strengthening menu competitiveness ▲efficient marketing ▲reducing food ingredient and labor costs ▲systematic profit and loss management. Based on these, the group will meet directly with restaurant owners to listen to their opinions and hold regular meetings by topic. The solutions and insights derived from the meetings will be disclosed for free through Baemin Dining Plaza content and Baemin Academy education.
Kim Samhee, head of research at the Korea Foodservice Industry Research Institute, said, "According to the changing consumer dining consumption patterns and management environment, restaurant owners need to operate their stores more agilely," adding, "We will strive to present answers tailored to each store through attempts to improve management efficiency."
Meanwhile, this advisory group was launched as part of 'Baemin's Promise for Sustainability.' Last year, Baemin pledged a total social investment of 200 billion KRW by 2030 to support the growth of restaurant owners, rider safety, and the establishment of an eco-friendly delivery culture.
Kwon Yonggyu, head of the Business Growth Center at Woowa Brothers, said, "We formed the advisory group to professionally solve the management difficulties that restaurant owners face," adding, "We aim to contribute to continuous growth so that they can improve management efficiency through education and content."
