Introducing Logistics Automation System... Increased Work Efficiency
T'way Air is expanding the size of its catering center by 2.5 times ahead of route expansion.
On the 19th, T'way Air announced that it will relocate and expand its new catering center in the Incheon Free Trade Zone this July. The catering center is where all processes related to storing and loading in-flight duty-free goods, in-flight service items, and in-flight meals onto aircraft are handled.
With this relocation and expansion, the size will increase from 2,266㎡ to approximately 5,243㎡, enabling it to handle 2.5 times the current volume of goods. Additionally, logistics automation systems (WMS, DPS, RFID) will be introduced to process data in real time and manage inventory accurately. Furthermore, on-site work support equipment such as dedicated cart washers and three-way forklifts will also be introduced. It appears to be busily preparing ahead of expanding long-haul routes to Europe and other destinations.
A T'way Air official said, "The relocation and expansion of the catering center will be an important stepping stone for diversifying routes and improving the quality of passenger services," adding, "We will operate the catering center with safety and efficiency as our top priorities and do our best to enhance customer satisfaction."
