Damyang-gun Family Center Hosts 'Eoullim Hanmadang' to Address Local Population Decline
May 14 Event 'Solo Escape, Heartthrob in Damyang'... Participants Accepted Until May 30
Jeonnam Damyang-gun (Governor Lee Byeong-no) and Damyang-gun Family Center (Director Kim Ju-yeon) are providing opportunities for healthy meetings among unmarried young adults of marriageable age to respond to the population decline in the local community.
According to Damyang-gun on the 18th, the first meeting event, "Escape from Solo, Heartthrob in Damyang," is scheduled to take place on May 14 during the Damyang Bamboo Festival around the back gate of Juknokwon and the Chuseongchang Memorial Hall area. Participants will be recruited until the 30th from unmarried men and women in the area.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Damyang-gun Family Center or the welfare teams of the towns and townships. Any unmarried men residing or registered in Damyang-gun and unmarried women residing or working in Damyang-gun, whether domestic or foreign, can apply.
After this first meeting event, another meeting called "Youth Couples Kkongnyang Kkongnyang Day" will be held to help participants get to know each other better, including cultural experience classes, providing continuous opportunities for couples to form among local young men and women.
Additionally, for couples who decide to marry through these ongoing meetings, an event to hold traditional wedding ceremonies is also being planned.
Director Kim Ju-yeon said, "We hope that many young people in the region will participate in this Youth Harmony Festival and that their meetings will lead to marriage."
