12.5 Billion Invested to Establish Centers at Daejeon Industrial Information High School and Chungnam Mechanical Technical High School

On the 18th, the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education held an opening ceremony for the Future Vocational Education Center at Daejeon Industrial Information High School, attended by Superintendent Seol Dong-ho, Daejeon city council members, principals of vocational and general high schools, and others.
With an investment of 12.5 billion KRW, the Future Vocational Education Centers established at Daejeon Industrial Information High School and Chungnam Mechanical Technical High School will nurture talents who will advance into future industries and regional specialized industries, targeting vocational high school students, general high school students, and middle school students.
The center affiliated with Daejeon Industrial Information High School has built a shared practice room equipped with advanced equipment in new industry fields (semiconductor equipment, smart factory, robot control, smart control), offering basic and advanced curriculum courses, and operates teacher training programs during vacations at the industry-academia cooperation hall.
The center affiliated with Chungnam Mechanical Technical High School has established a shared practice room for regional specialized industries (railroad vehicle management, drone surveying), providing basic and advanced courses as well as teacher training programs during vacations. The vocational education experience center also runs industrial safety courses just before field training for specialized high school students and vocational education experience programs for middle school students.
Superintendent Seol Dong-ho of Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education said, "In line with the changes in the industrial structure shifting toward new industries, we hope that students in the Daejeon area will grow into professional technical talents in future new technology fields through the Future Vocational Education Center."
