AhnLab Adds Financial Sector-Specific Reports and New Threat Information to 'AhnLab TIP'

AhnLab announced on the 18th that it has enhanced threat intelligence and upgraded convenience features by adding a finance-specific report to its next-generation threat intelligence platform, AhnLab TIP.

In January, AhnLab added a monthly report titled "Domestic and International Financial Sector Security Issues," which contains finance-specific threat information, to AhnLab TIP. The "Domestic and International Financial Sector Security Issues" report is prepared by AhnLab's security threat analysis expert organization, the AhnLab Security Intelligence Center (ASEC), by collecting and analyzing attacks targeting the domestic and international financial sectors. It provides threat analysis information and trends such as monthly malware statistics specialized for the financial sector, top 10 major malware, phishing email distribution cases, and key issues from the Deep Web and Dark Web (DDW).

Additionally, when financial sector-related leaked information is discovered on platforms such as Telegram or the Deep Web and Dark Web, a separate report containing analysis information and attack response methods for the relevant attack is sent to the affected customers. Based on this, security personnel in the financial sector can secure insights for proactive response by understanding the latest threats and breach cases from attacker groups targeting the financial sector. The scope of report provision is planned to be expanded to other industries.

Last month, new menus for "Malware Families" and "Network Breach Status" were added to broaden the scope of threat information. The Network Breach Status provides comprehensive network threat information statistics based on network logs independently collected by AhnLab's Incident Response Team.

This upgrade also enhanced usability by reflecting customer feedback. For the "Cloud Sandbox Analysis Function," which provides analysis results for suspicious files or URLs uploaded by users, the function was updated so that users can now input only the hash value information for samples held by AhnLab, instead of the previous method of directly uploading file samples or URLs, to receive analysis information.

Furthermore, a new pilot operation of the "Vulnerability Surface Monitoring Service" has been launched, which proactively provides customized analysis reports to customers who are likely to have high-risk vulnerabilities by analyzing related information when such vulnerabilities occur.

Kim Chang-hee, Head of Product Service Planning at AhnLab, said, "With this upgrade, we expect to further strengthen the expertise of AhnLab TIP and help customers respond to threats more efficiently. We will continue to enhance AhnLab TIP by reflecting customer feedback and changes in the security environment."

Meanwhile, AhnLab continuously offers an AhnLab TIP trial service that allows corporate and institutional customers to use AhnLab TIP free of charge for 30 days.
