Zuckerberg Draws Attention with Jensen Huang's Recommendation Letter
American newsweekly Time has selected the wife of a Russian anti-government activist and the CEO of Nvidia among this year's 'Most Influential 100' (Time 100).
On the 17th (local time), Time announced the 'Time 100' list, highlighting Yulia Navalnaya as one of the most influential Leaders. She is the wife of Russian anti-government activist Alexei Navalny, who died in prison last February, and has recently taken the lead in criticizing the Putin regime, which has succeeded in long-term rule.
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris praised in her recommendation, "Navalnaya's courage has exposed the lies and brutality of the Russian government to the world," adding, "Her commitment to continue her husband's fight for justice and the rule of law has given new hope to those fighting for a free and democratic Russia."
Included in this category was fashion columnist E. Jean Carroll, who drew attention by winning a defamation lawsuit related to sexual assault allegations against former President Donald Trump. Also named influential leaders were Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, who has mediated the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and Andriy Yermak, Chief of Staff to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Among national leaders selected were Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy; Li Qiang, Premier of China; Javier Milei, President of Argentina; Lai Ching-te, President-elect of Taiwan; and Ferdinand Marcos, President of the Philippines.
The 'Innovators' category of the 'Time 100' was led by Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, who recommended Huang, said, "Today, most AI models?from large-scale language models to autonomous driving systems and applications in science and medicine?are trained on Nvidia hardware," adding, "This innovation was made possible by Jensen's progressive execution in designing and delivering the latest GPUs at scale." He further expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank him for always helping me and other entrepreneurs without hesitation during difficult times."
Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft (MS), who has challenged Nvidia's dominance in partnership with OpenAI, was selected in the 'Titans' category of the 'Time 100.' Wang Chuanfu, Chairman of BYD, which competes with Tesla for the world's top electric vehicle sales title, was also named in the same category, drawing attention.
