"Up to 50% Discount" Emart Begins Q2 'Price Reversal' on 19th

Offering 60 Items at the Lowest Prices
'Merged' Emart Everyday and Emart24 Also Participate

Emart announced on the 18th that it will start the 2nd quarter 'Price Reversal' event on the 19th.

Price Reversal is a year-round project aimed at lowering prices to increase customer benefits despite rising inflation. It is part of the new pricing policy to "always offer essential products to customers at the lowest price level." The 1st quarter Price Reversal event, held from February to last month, saw major items sell out as demand surged for affordable daily necessities amid high inflation.

This Price Reversal event will showcase 60 items at the lowest price level by fully utilizing Emart's unique distribution know-how, including direct sourcing, bulk purchasing, and collaboration with manufacturers. Among them, 29 items will be jointly offered with Emart Everyday, and 8 items will be sold simultaneously by all three Emart companies, including Emart24.

Hwang Woon-gi, who concurrently serves as the head of the product division for Emart, Emart Everyday, and Emart24, said, “Thanks to the strong customer interest in the 1st quarter Price Reversal, we have expanded the jointly operated items among the three Emart companies for the 2nd quarter.”

Key event products include cereals priced in the 1,000 KRW range. ‘Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and Chex Choco (230g each)’ will be sold for 1,980 KRW each. When converted to price per 100g, this is about 26% cheaper than existing products, enabling an affordable meal in the era of high inflation.

‘CJ Myungga Traditional Seaweed and Green Laver (20 packs each)’ will be increased from 16 packs to 20 packs and sold at 5,990 KRW, lowering the price per pack by more than 10%. Emart’s top-selling crab stick product, ‘Sajo Daerim Snow Crab King (140g x 3 packs),’ will be offered with an additional 140g, making it about 43% cheaper per unit at 5,980 KRW.

The ‘Family Salad (350g),’ composed of popular vegetables, can be purchased at the lowest price across all channels for 2,980 KRW. ‘Mokwoochon Jubu 9-dan Round Ham (260g x 2 packs)’ is 40% cheaper per unit due to increased quantity and price reduction, priced at 4,980 KRW, and ‘Sajo Daerim Nuggets Bulk Pack (1080g)’ is available at 9,980 KRW, a 50% discount off the regular price.

Prices of daily necessities that need to be purchased regularly have also been significantly lowered. ‘Sofy Bodyfit Real Absorbent Sanitary Pads (Medium 36 pcs·Large 32 pcs·Super Long 20 pcs)’ are sold at 4,950 KRW, and ‘Kerasys Clinic Shampoo·Conditioner 5 types (1000ml)’ are each sold at 4,900 KRW.
