Applications Open Until the 19th for 7 Households Including Low-Income Young Adults Without Homes in Daebang-dong and Noryangjin-dong
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that it is recruiting tenants for the first 'Youth Safety Housing Public Rental Sector' of the year until the 19th to stabilize housing for homeless youth.
'Youth Safety Housing' is rental housing where private and public sectors cooperate to provide residences near subway stations at 30-50% of the surrounding market price.
Last year, the district was the first among Seoul's 25 autonomous districts to secure a total of 13 units of 'Youth Safety Housing Public Rental' and selected priority supply candidates residing in Daebang-dong and Sadang-dong.
This year, the district will independently select 30% of the public rental supply in cooperation with Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) and prioritize low-income youth residing in the area.
Accordingly, by the 29th of this month, priority supply candidates for a total of 7 units of Youth Safety Housing Public Rental located in Daebang-dong (403-14) and Noryangjin-dong (54-4) will be finalized, and the selected tenants will begin moving in from July to September respectively.
The recruitment targets are homeless, unmarried low-income youth aged 19 to 39 with an address in Dongjak-gu as of the announcement date, and candidates will be determined based on eligibility criteria.
The eligibility criteria include recipients of livelihood, medical, and housing benefits, single-parent families under protection, near-poverty households, and youth preparing for independence.
Youth wishing to move in can visit the local community service center with the required documents by the 19th to apply. Youth preparing for independence can apply through related welfare agencies to the Child and Women or Disability Welfare Division.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, "We will support the independence of low-income youth through the priority supply of Youth Safety Housing in Dongjak-gu," adding, "We will continue to implement tailored policies to improve housing stability and welfare for the 2030 youth generation."
