Improving On-Site Suggestions Through Environmental Patrols in 20 Districts
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will conduct an "Environmental Patrol with Residents" targeting 20 neighborhoods in the district starting from the 18th. The patrols will be carried out on foot with residents, including local guardians and members of professional organizations, in each neighborhood, focusing on vulnerable areas within the district.
Following the patrol routes set by the neighborhood community centers, the patrol will visit sites to check for resident inconveniences such as road subsidence, damaged park exercise equipment, and vandalized traffic signs, and will work on restoring and improving these facilities.
Minor issues will be corrected immediately, and if immediate improvement is difficult, the relevant departments will be notified to ensure correction. Residents participating in the patrol will also be informed about how to report issues via smartphone apps and phone calls.
The environmental patrol will be conducted once in each of the 20 neighborhoods until November this year. The district expects that through this patrol, on-site suggestions related to cleaning, traffic, and parks will be improved and corrected, proactively resolving inconveniences.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “We will conduct environmental patrols together with residents who know the area well to resolve daily inconveniences,” and added, “We will do our best to create a pleasant and safe Gangseo-gu through administration that listens to and reflects the diverse voices of residents.”
