KOSHA Operates 2nd Intensive Week for Industrial Safety Diagnosis

April 15-24, Collaborative Campaign with Related Organizations Conducted

The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Head of Headquarters Gong Heung-du) will conduct the second intensive week of the Industrial Safety Diagnosis from April 15 to April 24 to prevent major accidents in small and medium-sized workplaces and support the establishment of safety and health management systems.

KOSHA Operates 2nd Intensive Week for Industrial Safety Diagnosis Implementation of the 2nd Intensive Week for Industrial Safety Inspection and Campaign for Posting Hazard Signs.

The Industrial Safety Diagnosis is a project that helps workplaces build autonomous safety and health management systems by guiding customized support projects for each workplace, starting with workplace self-diagnosis. Participation is available through counseling and support centers, the agency’s official website, and mobile QR codes.

The second intensive week of the Industrial Safety Diagnosis will focus on workplaces that have not yet been linked to government support projects. A two-person patrol team will visit sites to encourage workplace self-diagnosis, raise safety awareness, and provide guidance on support projects for establishing safety and health management systems. The goal is to ensure that a total of 100,000 workplaces participate in the Industrial Safety Diagnosis project.

To expand participation in the Industrial Safety Diagnosis, various activities are being carried out, including ▲intensive on-site promotion every Wednesday in April ▲collaboration with related organizations to visit small and medium-sized enterprises within Busan ▲support projects for workplaces participating in the Industrial Safety Diagnosis (until April 30) ▲and gifticon giveaways (worth 3,000 KRW) for those who complete self-diagnosis during the intensive period.

Support projects for participating workplaces include system establishment consulting, risk assessment consulting, small-scale government entrusted projects, financial support projects, and system establishment training (for business owners and managers).

In connection with this, the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency conducted a campaign on April 17 at the Jeonggwan General Industrial Complex in Gijang-gun to attach hazard signs, emphasizing the April promotional slogan, “Always wear a safety helmet when working on ladders!” This campaign contributed to fostering a safety-focused atmosphere at small workplaces and spreading a nationwide safety culture.

Head of Headquarters Gong Heung-du stated, “Through the second intensive week of the Industrial Safety Diagnosis, focused support will be provided to vulnerable safety groups, and we will do our utmost to ensure that safety and health management systems are firmly established in workplaces within Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam through customized guidance and support.”
