Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, Overseas Business Trip to Nanjing, China and Three Other Cities Mayor Lee Jang-woo of Daejeon will begin an overseas business trip starting on the 21st. / Daejeon City

Mayor Lee Jang-woo and the Daejeon economic delegation will embark on an overseas business trip from the 21st to the 27th, visiting Nanjing and Xi'an in China, as well as Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.


This overseas trip to China aims to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship with Nanjing, sign a cooperation agreement to strengthen exchanges, and expand continuous cultural exchanges with Xi'an, a friendly city, in conjunction with the 2022 UCLG World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders held in Daejeon.


During the Vietnam trip, the economic delegation, mainly composed of local companies in bio and information and communication technology sectors, plans to hold meetings with high-ranking officials of Binh Duong Province to explore new market opportunities. They also plan to visit the Daejeon medical tourism sites and the medical volunteer activities of the Daejeon Association of Korean Medicine Doctors in Ho Chi Minh City.


Mayor Lee Jang-woo stated, “We will invite delegations and performance groups from the visited cities to the Daejeon 0 City Festival to revitalize the local economy,” adding, “This will serve as an opportunity for Daejeon to act as a bridge for the advancement of Daejeon companies into Vietnam.”
