POSCO E&C announced on the 17th that it held the launch ceremony of the 'Eco & Challenge Together (E&C Together) Win-Win Growth Support Group' on the 16th at its office building in Songdo, Incheon, with about 50 attendees including executives, employees, and representatives of partner companies.

The Win-Win Growth Support Group is a unique POSCO Group win-win growth program that supports small and medium-sized partner companies in areas they need by utilizing the capabilities and infrastructure possessed by POSCO E&C.
The POSCO E&C Win-Win Growth Support Group has been conducting six programs to enhance the basic capabilities of partner companies such as safety and quality. This year, marking the 30th anniversary of its founding, the group expanded to 26 programs in three areas?technology, education, and consulting?focused on eco-friendly businesses promoted by the company, including secondary batteries, hydrogen, and nuclear power.
In the technology sector, joint technology development is being carried out with partner companies possessing excellent related technologies to develop wastewater reuse and lithium recovery processes generated during the production of secondary battery cathode materials. Linked with the performance-sharing system, this supports new market channels by strengthening partner companies' technological competitiveness in eco-friendly fields.
In the education sector, understanding of eco-friendly technologies is enhanced through courses such as an introduction to the hydrogen industry and remodeling demolition work training. Safety and health education to strengthen safety and quality education for vulnerable defect-prone construction works are also continuously provided in connection with last year’s support group programs.
In the consulting sector, safety diagnosis consulting is conducted for partner companies in construction fields with high safety accident risks. Additionally, to eradicate defective ready-mixed concrete and reduce waste disposal costs for small and medium-sized ready-mixed concrete companies, support is provided for building a ready-mixed concrete vehicle management system using a Global Positioning System (GPS).
Shin Kyung-cheol, head of the POSCO E&C Win-Win Growth Support Group, said, "We will operate a substantial support group to provide practical help in improving the capabilities and competitiveness of participating partner companies," adding, "We will continue to strengthen partnerships with small and medium-sized partner companies to build an eco-friendly future society."
