Cheonan National Assembly Electees "Will Complete Regional Development"

The elected members of the 22nd National Assembly from the Democratic Party of Korea in the Cheonan area of Chungnam announced on the 17th that they will "complete the development of Cheonan with united strength."

In this general election, Moon Jin-seok from Cheonan Gap, Lee Jae-gwan from Cheonan Eul, and Lee Jung-moon from Cheonan Byeong were elected.

They held a press conference at Cheonan City Hall on the same day and stated, "We will select joint promotion tasks for the development of Cheonan in the 22nd National Assembly and do our best to enact laws and secure budgets in each of our standing committees," adding, "We will unite our efforts to complete the Cheonan Outer Ring Road, including extending the GTX-C line to Cheonan and promoting the Sinbang~Mokcheon section, which are common pledges for Gap, Eul, and Byeong."

They continued, "The three of us will work together to deliver the best results," emphasizing, "We will elevate Cheonan to become the top city in Chungcheong that can compete with Seoul."

Regarding the extension of the GTX-C line to Cheonan, they said, "The government has stated that it would accept the plan if the local government bears the entire 150 billion won cost, but it is necessary to review how beneficial this would be," and added, "Even if it takes more time, we will strive to secure national funding."
