The 32nd Jeonnam Disabled Sports Competition will be held from the 29th of this month to the 1st of next month in Yeonggwang County, at Yeonggwang Sportium and various venues for each sport, under the slogan "Unfold the Dream of Hope in Great Yeonggwang," with about 15,000 participants engaging in a passionate sports event.

The Mokpo City athletes, who achieved third place overall at last year's Jeonnam Disabled Sports Competition held in Wando County, expressed their determination to reclaim first place overall and continue their eight consecutive championship streak.

In this competition, Mokpo City will field a team of 236 members (134 athletes and 102 officials and guardians) competing in 18 sports: gateball, goalball, golf (park), billiards, dance sports, lawn bowls, sitting volleyball, badminton, boccia, bowling, swimming, equestrian, weightlifting, athletics, rowing, soccer, and table tennis.

Park Hong-ryul, Mayor of Mokpo City and head of the Mokpo City Disabled Sports Association, said, "I am proud of each and every one who has overcome their personal battles and adversity to participate in the competition," adding, "We will cheer together with the citizens of Mokpo so that their efforts bear fruit."
