‘Ajebong’ is coming... Busan Northern Office of Education operates a volunteer team for school facility repair talent donation

Facility Management Technology Transfer and Know-How Sharing

Busan Northern Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Beom-gyu) will operate the ‘Beautiful Talent Donation Volunteer Group (Ajaebong)’ to enhance the expertise in school facility maintenance by the end of this year.

On the 17th, the Northern Office of Education announced that it has formed a volunteer group consisting of 10 facility management staff working at school sites who possess skills related to facility maintenance and are interested in volunteer activities.

The volunteer group visits schools twice a month to communicate with the school sites through various facility inspections, repairs, and maintenance consulting.

They will focus on supporting schools where new or female public officials are in charge of facility management and schools with vacancies in facility management staff. Schools in need of support can apply through the Busan Office of Education’s School Support Service.

Kim Beom-gyu, Superintendent of the Northern Office of Education, said, “The volunteer group’s activities greatly help reduce the burden of facility management tasks on site and strengthen the work capabilities of school facility managers,” adding, “We will do our best to provide customized facility management support considering the conditions of each school.”
