Opening Ceremony on the 25th: 'Youth Policy Dream Concert'
The ‘Seocho Youth Center,’ where job and entrepreneurship preparation, career counseling, information acquisition, space rental, and gatherings are all possible in one place, is opening in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Seocho-gu announced on the 17th that the Seocho Youth Center, a customized comprehensive support space for youth, will open on the 25th of this month.
The Seocho Youth Center is expected to be a place connecting 110,000 Seocho youth and a hub for Seocho-gu’s youth policies that can meet their diverse needs. It is located on the 2nd floor of ‘Youth Housing Yangjae Conest (2567 Nambusunhwan-ro)’ in front of Exit 1 of Yangjae Station.
The center has a total floor area of 701㎡ and consists of ▲‘Seoripul Youth Hall’ and ‘Open Workspace’ for multipurpose activities ▲‘Conference Hall’ for large-scale lectures, events, and education ▲‘Workroom’ for community activities, group studies, and small meetings ▲‘Community Room’ for policy guidance and communication ▲‘Creator Room’ equipped for personal broadcasting, video shooting, and video conferencing ▲‘AI Interview Experience Room’ where free AI-based interview practice is available ▲‘Shared Office’ for freelancers and one-person businesses.
Here, the district conducts various youth support community programs such as career management supporting youth job seeking and entrepreneurship activities, community programs to prevent youth isolation, Seocho-type regional specialized programs to activate youth exchange and activities, and special lectures based on youth demand. The website provides information on the district’s youth policies and local information, as well as customized comprehensive counseling.
Youth aged 19 to 39 who reside or are active in Seocho-gu can use the center. By registering on the Seocho Youth Center website, users can enjoy various benefits. The center operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
On the 25th of this month, when the center opens, a commemorative ‘Youth Policy Dream Concert’ will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The concert is themed around the four major areas of the ‘Seocho-gu Youth Policy Basic Plan’ established by the district last month and consists of ▲Career and Job Zone ▲Culture and Arts Zone ▲Life Stability Zone ▲Vitality and Participation Zone.
In the Career and Job Zone, visitors can experience ‘Career Aptitude Test (MBTI Diagnosis),’ ‘Interview Image Consulting (Personal Color Diagnosis),’ and ‘AI Interview Experience.’ The Culture and Arts Zone features activities such as ‘Caricature Experience’ and ‘Moroo Doll Making.’
In the Life Stability Zone, ‘LH Youth Housing Consulting’ directly conducted by LH Housing Welfare Information and a meeting with a financial expert YouTuber with 241,000 subscribers (Country Mouse’s City Life) will take place. In the Vitality and Participation Zone, a ‘Cheering Message Program’ is prepared to deliver encouragement and support to youth in need.
Additionally, congratulatory performances by the two-member indie band group ‘406ho Project’ and Seocho-gu’s Flower Seat Concert performance team ‘OA’ will be held, along with a ‘Talk Concert for Those Dreaming of Quitting Their Jobs’ featuring famous writers such as Hong Je-min.
