Blade Ent Establishes Actor Management Subsidiary 'XYZ Studio'

Blade Ent (Blade Entertainment) announced on the 17th that it has established an actor-specialized management subsidiary, ‘XYZ STUDIO’.

XYZ STUDIO is led by CEO Kim Hyung-dae, a management expert who previously served as the head of the People Entertainment division and later as the head of the actor management division at KeyEast. CEO Kim partnered with Blade Ent to establish the management company that includes actors such as Jo Bo-ah, Ji Hye-won, and Jang Yoon-joo, who have been with him since the KeyEast days.

A representative from Blade Ent stated, “We established a separate management subsidiary called ‘XYZ’ to expand our actor management business, which drove performance growth last year. With a solid lineup of existing actors and the addition of popular actors like Jo Bo-ah and Jang Yoon-joo, we will continue to grow as a stronger management group.”

They added, “We have been preparing to become a comprehensive entertainment company that not only manages affiliated actors but also encompasses content planning and production. We plan to expand our business broadly, including drama and film production, beyond just entertainment management.”

Last year, Blade Ent acquired Star Village, a company specializing in artist management, and the entertainment agency J-Flex. Over 30 solid actors are affiliated, including Ko Chang-seok, Nam Woo-hyun (Infinite), Kim Jae-hwa, Park Myung-shin, Park Ji-ah, Park Ji-hoon, Son Hyun-joo, Song Ji-woo, Eom Hyo-seop, Wang Ji-won, Lee Kyu-han, Lee Joo-yeon, Lee Jun-young, Jung Suk-yong, Jung In-gi, Jo Hee-bong, Choi Moo-sung, Choi Yoon-young, Han Sang-jin, Han Chae-young, and Heo Sung-tae.
