Scheduled Exposure of Media Art and Citizen Messages
On the 17th, Cheonan City in Chungnam announced that it has installed a 'Media Wall' at the entrance plaza of Notaegongwon and will showcase various works.
The 'Media Wall,' measuring 6 meters in height and 25.6 meters in length, displays the image of 'Inwangjesaekdo' as a white wall image during the day to harmonize with the scenery of Notaegongwon. At night, it screens media content such as media art reflecting Cheonan's characteristics, holidays, Christmas trends, seasonal theme videos, and city promotion videos.
The Media Wall will undergo a trial operation period throughout April and will officially operate starting next month. During the trial period, it will operate for 20 minutes from 8:00 PM to 8:20 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. From next month, it will showcase dynamic media art works for one hour from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays through the large display.
The city plans to use the Media Wall in various ways, including broadcasting and exhibiting images of artworks and delivering encouragement and communication messages that citizens want to share through a citizen contest to build public consensus.
A city official said, "We aim to enhance the cultural satisfaction enjoyed by citizens through the Media Wall installed in Notaegongwon," adding, "We hope to expand opportunities for cultural enjoyment in daily life by screening art videos and contribute to the revitalization of local culture."
