Ulsan City Sends Oceania Consumer Goods Market Development Team

Dispatch of 10 SMEs... Support for K-Beauty Exports

Ulsan City announced that it dispatched the 'Oceania Consumer Goods Market Development Team' from the 15th to the 18th in collaboration with the KOTRA Ulsan Support Group.

This market development team was composed of 10 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) related to consumer goods in Ulsan, including CNF Korea Co., Ltd., selected through local market feasibility assessments, and was dispatched to Auckland, New Zealand.

Ulsan City supports the dispatched companies from the market research stage to ensure smooth export consultations between the companies and local buyers. It also matches dispatched companies with local buyers who have a high possibility of contract success, and assists with venue rental and local interpretation services.

The dispatched companies introduce their products and discuss local export plans through one-on-one export consultations with matched buyers on-site.

On the 17th, an export consultation meeting was held for local buyers to introduce and promote products from Ulsan’s consumer goods SMEs, such as cosmetics and food, to the Oceania consumer market including New Zealand, where demand for Korean consumer goods like K-beauty and K-food is increasing, supporting marketing and entry into the Oceania market.

Additionally, a local promotional event linked to this export consultation meeting is planned for the third quarter of this year.

An official from the Ulsan City Investment Attraction Team stated, “Through the dispatch of the market development team, we are actively supporting the establishment of global networks and overseas market development for Ulsan’s SMEs,” adding, “We will expand multifaceted support to revive Ulsan’s local economy and increase exports of regional SMEs.”
