Allegations of Violating the Animal Protection Act
The police have booked a man in his 60s for hitting a goose at Konkuk University in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
According to the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul on the 17th, Mr. A was booked and is under investigation on suspicion of violating the Animal Protection Act the previous afternoon.
Animal Freedom Union filed a complaint stating that Mr. A beat "Geon Goose" until it bled around 3:30 p.m. on the 11th. "Geon Goose" is a name combining "Geon" from Konkuk University and "goose."
The police stated that no significant external injuries were found on the goose during the on-site investigation and that its condition was good. Mr. A testified during the police investigation that while playing with the goose, it attacked him and hit his head. The police plan to continue the investigation without detaining Mr. A.
