Baehonggi Confirmed for Reappointment as CEO of PKF Seohyun Accounting Corporation

Recognized for Achievements in Strengthening One-Firm Management and Accounting Quality

Bae Hong-gi, CEO of PKF Seohyun Accounting Corporation, has been confirmed for reappointment. Since his appointment as CEO in 2021, Bae has led solid growth with sales increasing by more than 30%. His one-firm management system, which uniquely integrates personnel, organization, finance, and quality management among mid-sized accounting firms, is believed to have been highly evaluated.

PKF Seohyun Accounting Corporation resolved the reappointment of the current CEO Bae Hong-gi through the regular shareholders' meeting on the 17th. CEO Bae will lead the corporation until the end of May 2027.

From his first year in office, CEO Bae recorded sales of 43.2 billion KRW, achieving a 43% growth compared to the same period the previous year. In 2022, despite the challenging economic environment, he expanded sales by more than 20% and demonstrated his capabilities by driving meaningful growth through organization, specialization, and scaling up.

Among mid-sized accounting firms, he is almost the only one to practice one-firm management, consistently striving for integrated organizational management and quality management of accounting audits, which is also cited as a reason for his reappointment. In October 2023, CEO Bae received a presidential citation on Accounting Day in recognition of his contributions to prioritizing quality management and strengthening accounting transparency.

PKF Seohyun Accounting Corporation fulfills its social responsibility as a knowledge service company by establishing ‘Seohyun Academic Foundation,’ the first academic foundation by an accounting firm. Last year, it took the lead in ESG management by instituting and awarding the Seohyun Academic Award to discover emerging researchers in the fields of accounting and taxation.

CEO Bae stated, "I believe the reason for the existence of an accounting firm is to enhance social trust (Public trust)." He added, "Through this, we will become a trusted service provider that helps corporate clients find the right mid-sized firms." He further said, "Over the next three years, we plan to accelerate efforts to strengthen audit quality and expand professional services, focusing on quality management, talent management, and branding strategies."
