Daegu EXCO, 24-26th
Hanwha Solutions Q CELLS Division (hereinafter Hanwha Q CELLS) announced on the 17th that it will participate in the "21st International Green Energy Expo" held at EXCO in Daegu from the 24th to the 26th.
The International Green Energy Expo is the largest new and renewable energy exhibition in Korea, hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu Metropolitan City and organized by four associations. A total of 300 companies are expected to participate, with approximately 30,000 visitors anticipated.
Hanwha Q CELLS will showcase its energy consulting business model for the first time at this year’s exhibition. This business provides one-stop services including consulting, financing, construction, power brokerage, and maintenance to customers who need renewable energy to achieve RE100. Hanwha Q CELLS installed a diagram explaining its differentiated capabilities and multi-layered services at the front of the booth.

The Hanwha Q CELLS booth is composed of five themed zones: Commercial Module Zone, Idle Land Module Zone, Inverter Zone, Next-Generation Cell Zone, and Energy Consulting Zone. The booth is filled mainly with businesses that are the company’s focus in Korea.
First, Hanwha Q CELLS’ representative product, the high-efficiency solar module, is prominently displayed by type and installation method. In the Commercial Module Zone, the new 'Q.TRON G2' module, an N-type TOPCon module launched last year in the U.S. and this year in Korea and Europe, is exhibited. The Q.TRON series, which applies Hanwha Q CELLS’ proprietary technology to high-quality N-type wafers, has 1 percentage point higher power generation efficiency than the existing 'Q.PEAK DUO Z' series.
In the Idle Land Module Zone, visitors can see ▲Agrivoltaics ▲Sound Barrier Solar ▲BIPV modules. The agrivoltaics solution, which combines farming and solar power generation, is displayed mimicking an actual installation. Agrivoltaics has undergone several pilot projects since 2016. The sound barrier solar module has both soundproofing and light absorption functions. Installed alongside roads or railways, it reduces noise and light pollution while producing eco-friendly power, a two-birds-one-stone solution. The building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) module ARTSUN product, scheduled for official release this year, will also be showcased as installed on a building exterior.
The next-generation cell zone features the 'Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Cell' (hereinafter Tandem Cell), which has a higher theoretical efficiency limit than conventional silicon cells and is highly regarded for its business potential if mass production is successful. Hanwha Q CELLS exhibits a prototype Tandem Cell verified to have a maximum efficiency of 29.9% on a small area basis, visually explaining its operating principle and excellent efficiency potential to help visitors understand. Hanwha Q CELLS is developing a commercially viable Tandem Cell with a large area and high efficiency, aiming for mass production by the end of 2026.
In the Inverter Zone, three types of Hanwha Q CELLS’ inverter (power conversion device) Q.VOLT, which can be easily installed in various environments, are displayed. Q.VOLT is a representative energy system product sold by Hanwha Q CELLS in Korea. It converts the electricity generated by modules into a current suitable for storage and use.

Yoo Jae-yeol, head of Hanwha Q CELLS Korea Business Division, said, "Hanwha Q CELLS will expand its touchpoints with customers who want to use eco-friendly energy through more expanded services and excellent solutions."
Hanwha Q CELLS plans to minimize waste by donating the fabric used in the booth to the upcycling company 'Qcleaf' to contribute to the creation of a sustainable exhibition culture.
