Designed as a 'Rest' Space Embracing Nature... Open to Everyone
Located at the Entrance of Balraegol, Bukhansan Hiking Trail, Suyu 1-dong
Operating Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 8 PM
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) has created a nature-embraced "Forest Book Cafe San?Suyu" (hereafter San?Suyu) in Suyu 1-dong, adjacent to Bukhansan Mountain.
San?Suyu (56-7 Insubong-ro 23-gil, Gangbuk-gu) is a facility located at the entrance of the Bbalraegol trailhead on Bukhansan Mountain. It is designed as a space of "rest" that incorporates nature, allowing visitors to enjoy the facility outdoors in connection with the natural surroundings.
The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Coffee, tea, cookies, and other items are sold for 2,500 to 4,500 KRW. In addition to adult books, children's books are also available, making it a healing space where families can enjoy a warm cup of tea, rest, and read together.
The district has been running San?Suyu Book Cafe on a trial basis since the end of March and plans to hold an opening ceremony on April 24 to officially open the facility.
Meanwhile, San?Suyu was created as part of the Suyu 1-dong urban regeneration revitalization project. Last September, the district also established the 3,688㎡ ecological park "Bbalraegol Forest Harmony Rest Area" nearby San?Suyu.
Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "We hope many people visit San?Suyu, where you can feel the healing power of nature on warm spring days," and added, "We will continue to create open spaces that can be used not only by residents but also by many tourists and citizens."
