6 Business Sites and 8 Passenger and Cargo Ships Targeted
On the 16th, designated as 'National Safety Day,' the Changwon Maritime Police Station in Gyeongnam conducted surprise safety inspections at six business sites, including Doksom Happyland, and on eight passenger and cargo vessels within its jurisdiction.
The Changwon Maritime Police announced that, to prevent maritime accidents and raise safety awareness, they formed an inspection team with related organizations such as the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority to visit business sites and check the status of safety management.

The inspection team focused on verifying ▲whether crew members and workers conducted emergency preparedness drills ▲possession and management status of lifesaving equipment ▲management and inspection of fire-related extinguishing equipment from early morning until afternoon.
A Changwon Maritime Police official stated, “Consistent safety management is directly linked to public safety,” and urged business sites to raise their level of safety awareness and pay close attention.
He added, “We will continue seasonal safety inspections throughout the year to eliminate risk factors in advance and prevent various disasters, striving to establish a safety culture so that the public can use vessels with peace of mind.”
