On the 16th, Yuseonghun, the Mayor of Geumcheon District Office in Seoul, took on the role of a barista for a day, handing out coffee to employees and encouraging them.
On the same day, Geumcheon District Office announced that it held a joint labor-management 'Integrity Organizational Culture Innovation Campaign' targeting employees on their way to work at the district office plaza. That morning, Mayor Yu transformed into a barista at the 'Geumcheon Integrity Coffee Truck,' wearing an apron.
Executives of the Geumcheon District Office Public Officials Union and employees carried placards with integrity slogans such as "You and I, a warm workplace where we respect each other," "Integrity ON, Corruption OFF," "Mutual Respect, Organizational Strength," and "I will greet first, greet warmly," while conducting the campaign.
An employee of Geumcheon District Office said, "It was amazing and fun to see a coffee truck at the district office, something I thought only existed on drama sets, and that the mayor personally served coffee," adding, "I hope they continue to boost employee morale and create opportunities for communication through various methods."
Mayor Yuseonghun said, "We will continue to prepare various activities with employees to eliminate unreasonable practices within the organization and improve the outdated organizational culture."
