Gangdong-gu Operates Mobile Dog Playground 'Daengple'

Seoul Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Su-hee) announced on the 16th that it plans to flexibly operate the mobile dog playground ‘Daengdaengi Playground’ (Daengple) by compromising the demands of residents who either support or oppose the dog playground.

The newly created mobile dog playground ‘Daengple’ in Gangdong-gu is designed as a space where dogs can run and play safely and freely without leashes, equipped with artificial turf mats, safety fences, and canopy tents.

Various programs that pet owners and their dogs can enjoy together will also be offered, including ▲pet caricatures ▲toy (tug) making ▲behavior correction counseling ▲trainer experience events.

The mobile dog playground ‘Daengple,’ where dogs and their owners can have fun together, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 20th at the Gangdong-gu Office parking lot and on the 27th at the square in front of the Amsa History Park stage.

It should be noted that entry times vary depending on the dog’s height and weight. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., large dogs (up to 25 dogs) are allowed, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., medium and small dogs (up to 40 dogs every two hours) can use the playground. The large dog standard is a height of 40 cm or more, and medium and small dogs are those under 40 cm in height or weighing less than 10 kg.

Dogs using the playground must have rabies vaccinations and be registered. Those wishing to use the playground must pre-register on the Gangdong Reborn Center website, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of pre-registrations is insufficient, on-site registration is also possible.
