Yuhan-Kimberly and the Working Together Foundation announced on the 16th that they are recruiting participants for the 2nd cohort of the "Yuhan-Kimberly Senior Impact Fellowship."
The Senior Impact Fellowship is a social contribution project that supports entrepreneurs and activists who propose innovative and sustainable solutions to address the challenges of a super-aged society and expand senior business opportunities. Entrepreneurs and others interested in participating can apply by the 22nd.
Entrepreneurs and activists who operate or have ideas for sustainable and innovative business models in the senior business sector will receive seed money of 2.5 million KRW per month, up to a total of 30 million KRW over one year. There are also benefits such as linkage with startup support projects provided by Yuhan-Kimberly and the Working Together Foundation, as well as expert mentoring.
A representative from Yuhan-Kimberly stated, “It is predicted that Korea will enter a super-aged society in 2025, when the proportion of the population aged 65 and over exceeds 20%. If the current trend continues, by 2030, one in four people, and by 2039, one in three people will be aged 65 or older,” adding, “Super-aging is not an issue limited to the government, public institutions, or specific companies, so solidarity with entrepreneurs and activists who have interest and capabilities, along with stable support to back this up, is urgently needed.”
Previously, in the first cohort last year, three companies?CareU, Naeiruri, and DoctorDiary?were selected for their contributions to solving super-aged society issues in the fields of senior education, job creation, and healthcare. The total sales of these companies amounted to 12.5 billion KRW, and during the fellowship period, they provided mental health and health management solution services to approximately 1,200 seniors.
