Asan City and 7 Organizations Collaborate to Support 'Jeojanggangbak Suspected Households'

Creating a Healthy Living Environment Through Public-Private Joint Response

Asan City in Chungnam has decided to collaborate with seven local organizations to support households suspected of hoarding disorder.

On the 15th, the city signed an agreement for the 'Support Project for Households Suspected of Hoarding Disorder' with the Community Social Security Council, Happiness Promotion Council, Korea Eco 21, Home & Organizing Storage, and the Volunteer Center. Two departments from Asan City, the Social Welfare Division and the Resource Circulation Division, are participating.

Through this business agreement, Asan City expects to contribute to improving the quality of life by helping households struggling to maintain daily life overcome their obsessive-compulsive disorder and create a healthy living environment.

An official from Asan City said, "We deeply appreciate the heads of each organization who joined forces to support the project for households suspected of hoarding disorder," and added, "We hope this support project will not only provide a hygienic environment but also become a precious opportunity to give hope."

Meanwhile, Asan City enacted and has been implementing the Asan City Ordinance on Supporting Households Suspected of Hoarding Disorder since March 2020. Last year, 291 people from 74 organizations participated, supporting nine households.
