'Dangolgeori' is a project that educates and supports small business owners on how to conveniently connect with customers by utilizing services provided by Kakao. Since 2022, the 'Dangol Market' project, which supported digital communication for traditional market merchants, received positive responses and has now expanded to include local commercial shopping districts.

'Dangolgeori' will officially begin activities on the 22nd in eight major local commercial districts nationwide, including Chungjang-ro shopping district in Gwangju Metropolitan City and the old downtown commercial district in Andong, Gyeongbuk Province. Kakao employees and professional tutors will visit these local shopping districts to provide one-on-one customized training on how to use Kakao services such as KakaoTalk Channel, KakaoTalk Reservations, KakaoMap Store Management, and Tokstore.

In addition to training, small business owners who open a KakaoTalk Channel will receive a support fund of 300,000 KRW for sending KakaoTalk Channel messages. Offline promotional kits for stores and support for offline promotional events targeting visitors to the shopping districts will also be provided. Benefits such as a three-month waiver of Kakao Pay Money fees upon new Kakao Pay merchant registration will be offered.

The 'Dangol Market' project will also be strengthened. A continuous application process allowing education at any time will be added to expand training opportunities, and a new 'contest project' will be launched to discover excellent cases of digital transformation.

Kwon Dae-yeol, Chair of the Kakao CA Council ESG Committee, said, "We have expanded the project to make it easier for more small business owners to use our services comfortably," adding, "We plan to continue working with the Small Enterprise and Market Service to help increase customers through digital transformation."
