On the 16th, LG Electronics announced that it will expand the range of supported products in the ThinQ app to include all LG Electronics home appliances, even those without Wi-Fi connectivity.

Previously, the ThinQ app only allowed registration of products equipped with Wi-Fi modules or those supporting Near Field Communication (NFC). However, with this update, even older appliances such as microwaves produced in 1988 can now be managed through the app.

To register a product in the ThinQ app, users can scan the QR code attached to their LG Electronics product or enter the product model name or serial number. Customers who register their products can easily access the user manual, warranty period, and product usage tips at a glance. They can also make product inquiries or purchase consumables through the app. Additionally, entering the serial number helps reduce consultation time when requesting support services or making inquiries.

LG Electronics recently launched a beta chatbot service on the ThinQ KakaoTalk channel, applying generative artificial intelligence (AI). LG Electronics explained that the ThinQ app was upgraded to enable customers using older appliances to conveniently use products and services through ThinQ and enjoy a differentiated experience.

LG Electronics stated, "Through ThinQ, we will continue to reduce everyday burdens, increase convenience features, and strive to provide customers with 'F.U.N' (First: the best, Unique: differentiated, New: unprecedented) experiences."
