2024 Dong Hope Dream Team Meeting Held... Sharing Business Plans and Discussing Cooperation Measures

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) gathered with residents on the 15th to activate the discovery of welfare blind spots.
On the afternoon of the same day, the district held the ‘2024 First Half Dong Hope Dream Team Meeting’ in the district office’s large conference room, attended by about 20 people including Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon and the heads of each Dong Hope Dream Team.
The attendees shared this year’s business plans and agreed to strengthen the public-private cooperation system to ensure that no crisis households in need of help are left without welfare benefits.
In particular, this year, a new project called ‘Gangseo Genie’ will be launched to provide emergency support for medical expenses, housing environment improvement costs, and more. Residents facing urgent situations such as damage caused by disasters or unexpected accidents that make it difficult to maintain daily life can receive support through internal review. However, basic livelihood security recipients who are already receiving support are excluded.
Along with this, projects aimed at stabilizing the lives of vulnerable groups, such as providing side dishes and meals and supporting outings, which were highly preferred by residents last year, will continue this year as well.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “I deeply thank the Dong Hope Dream Team for looking into every corner of the region where administrative power does not reach and for being a strong support for neighbors in need,” and added, “The district will listen more closely to residents’ voices and actively discover policies for the residents.”
