Gas Safety Corporation Hosts National Gas Safety Video Contest... Total Prize Money 20 Million Won

On the 15th, the Korea Gas Safety Corporation announced that it will hold a 'Gas Safety Video Contest' open to all citizens until the 31st of next month.

This contest was prepared to promote gas safety, which had been mainly conducted by public institutions, in line with the trend of activating video media such as YouTube, and to tailor it to the perspective of the public as the consumers.

Anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea can participate in the contest. The contest themes are gas safety and hydrogen safety, divided into two categories: advertisement videos (horizontal) and short-form videos (vertical). Submissions can be made through the contest website. Participants can enter individually or as a team, and up to three entries per person (or team) are allowed.

The submitted works will go through a first internal review by the corporation and a second review by external experts, with the final winners to be selected and announced in June. A total of 24 winners will be selected, including 2 Grand Prize winners and 4 Excellence Award winners. The Grand Prize winners will receive a commendation from the corporation’s president along with a prize of 5 million KRW, and the Excellence Award winners will receive a commendation and a prize of 1 million KRW. The Grand Prize winners will also be separately awarded at the '2024 Korea Gas Safety Awards' in November.

The winning works from this contest will be widely used in the future for the Korea Gas Safety Corporation’s promotions and exhibitions. Detailed information about the contest can be found on the contest website.
