Honam University signed a business agreement on the 15th at the Faculty Committee Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the Headquarters Building with the Jeollanam-do Disabled Sports Association and Honam University Lalala School to establish a close cooperative system and work towards revitalizing disabled sports in Jeollanam-do and operating related programs.
At the signing ceremony, Honam University was represented by President Park Sang-cheol, Dean Jo Gyu-jeong of the College of Culture, Arts and Physical Education, Director Jeong Je-pyeong of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, and Head Jeong Nam-ju of the Department of Sports Leisure; the Jeollanam-do Disabled Sports Association by Executive Vice Chairman Park Jeong-hyun, Secretary General Kim Eun-rae, National Sports Festival Preparation Team Leader Hwang Chang-hyung, Deputy Team Leader Lee Dae-young, Assistant Manager Choi Ji-hoon, and Staff Jang Seong-bin; and Honam University Lalala School by CEO Jeong Yun-hee.
These three organizations agreed to actively cooperate on ▲supporting human and material resources and establishing systems for the promotion of disabled sports ▲activating disabled sports and operating related programs ▲cooperating in the promotion of disabled recreational and professional sports ▲assisting in the operation of the National Disabled Sports Festival and nationwide competitions ▲operating programs related to the Glocal University 30 project ▲and other matters related to the revitalization of disabled sports.
On this day, Park Jeong-hyun, Executive Vice Chairman of the Jeollanam-do Disabled Sports Association, said, "Through this agreement with Honam University, we expect to expand the base and revitalize disabled sports in Jeollanam-do, and we look forward to much support in future disabled sports competitions through collaboration."
In response, Park Sang-cheol, President of Honam University, said, "This agreement will provide a great opportunity for our students to participate in various competitions and gain practical field education and experience, and the university will continuously seek ways to take an interest in and support the development of disabled sports."
