On the 13th, the National Police Agency released CCTV footage of Mr. A's crimes on YouTube. The footage shows Mr. A walking slowly through an alley and approaching a slow-moving car. He then extends his wrist and deliberately places it against the car door, a blind spot for the black box camera. When the driver, sensing a collision, stops the car, the fraudulent act begins.

Mr. A reportedly extorted settlement money from flustered drivers by saying things like, "If you handle the medical expenses through insurance, it will be a loss for the driver, so let's settle for 1 million won." He exploited drivers' reluctance to report accidents to insurance companies due to concerns about premium increases. Notably, Mr. A mainly targeted female drivers.

However, Mr. A's crimes did not last long. Some drivers, suspicious of Mr. A's insistence on personal settlements without insurance claims, reported him to the police. After tracing his movements through nearby CCTV footage, the police succeeded in arresting Mr. A. Although he initially denied the charges, he eventually admitted to the crimes after being confronted with the video evidence. The police are currently investigating whether Mr. A has committed additional offenses.
