The Bank of Korea announced on the 15th that Governor Lee Chang-yong will depart for Washington D.C., USA on the 16th to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting and the International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank Group (WBG) Joint Spring Meetings.


Governor Lee will participate in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting to discuss major issues in the global financial market with finance ministers and central bank governors of member countries.


At the subsequent IMF Spring Meetings, discussions will focus on the global economic outlook, global financial stability, and global policy challenges.


Additionally, on the 17th (local time), during the meetings, Governor Lee has been invited to a special governors' dialogue hosted by the IMF, where he will discuss Korea's monetary policy with Krishna Srinivasan, IMF Director for Asia and the Pacific.


On the 19th (local time), he will attend a high-level panel discussion hosted by the Peterson Institute, where he will discuss the future financial system with the governors of the Central Bank of Brazil and the Deutsche Bundesbank.
