Increase of up to 310% by Store
Homeplus announced on the 15th that the total sales of Homeplus Express 'Instant Delivery' have increased by 60% over the past year, from March last year to the end of last month. Some stores saw an increase of up to 310%.
Currently, Homeplus Express operates instant delivery services in about 80% of its approximately 310 stores nationwide. This service allows customers living within a 2 to 2.5 km radius of the store to receive their orders within about an hour if they place an order before 10 PM.
By category, fresh food sales showed steady growth, with livestock products up 10%, tofu and bean sprouts 12%, fruits 14%, and vegetables 10%. Additionally, the deli category sales increased by 150%, nearly tripling. Overall sales increased by up to 70% per store, and sales between 4 PM and 7 PM, when customers prepare dinner, accounted for 30% of total sales by order time.
Furthermore, categories with high demand among younger customers also saw sales growth, including liquors (300%), whiskey (200%), and world-famous liquors (130%), as well as everyday items such as mobile accessories (340%) and party supplies (330%).
