Executive Vice President Hwang Gyu-byeol (CDO) and Senior Executive Director Kim Ji-hoon (CSO) also attended the event.
The event especially featured talents with expertise in core AI fields such as natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLM), and vision. CEO Hwang said, "LG Uplus has a dream to become a digital innovation platform company that leads changes in customers’ daily lives. To achieve this, AI technology that can realize customer experiences and, above all, the people who can nurture that technology are the most important."
Meanwhile, starting with meetings with talents, CEO Hwang will spend five days and four nights strengthening AI capabilities. He plans to meet with global startups and big tech companies that possess leading technological capabilities in AI fields such as multimodal sentiment analysis AI solutions and real-time TTV (Text to Video). Through this, he aims to grasp global AI technology trends and focus on discovering various business opportunities.
LG Uplus is focusing on securing technological capabilities to create differentiated customer value using AI with keywords such as 'applied technology,' 'imagination,' and 'speed.' CEO Hwang also emphasized at the shareholders’ meeting on the 21st of last month that "it is a very important time to see who can first secure, commercialize, and innovate AI applied technology."
