Park Il-jun, Former 2nd Vice Minister of Industry, Appointed as Full-time Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 14th that it held an extraordinary general meeting on the 12th and appointed Park Il-jun, former 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as the full-time vice chairman.


Park Il-jun, Former 2nd Vice Minister of Industry, Appointed as Full-time Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Park Il-jun, the newly appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The newly appointed full-time Vice Chairman Park is a graduate of the 31st Administrative Examination and has served as Director of Resource Development at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Policy Planning Officer at the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Director of the Information and Communication Industry Bureau and Software Policy Officer at the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, as well as Director of Industrial Policy and Director of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.


Afterwards, he served as President of Korea East-West Power, full-time Vice Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, and until May last year, he oversaw energy policy as the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. He is recognized for his practical insight and understanding of economic issues.


Vice Chairman Park said, "I will strive to ensure that the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry smoothly fulfills its role as a communication channel closely connecting the public and businesses, and faithfully perform its fundamental role as an economic organization that supports our companies in enhancing competitiveness and gaining public trust."
