LG Energy Solution plans to build an 'AI Integrated Platform' by the end of this year. They intend to integrate AI into all business areas, from managing contracts with customers and partners to enterprise resource planning (ERP), software development, raw material procurement, and battery manufacturing.
LG Energy Solution is already utilizing AI technology in various fields, ranging from market trend analysis based on YouTube to an HR chatbot system.

Using its self-developed AI program, GenAI's, LG Energy Solution analyzes hundreds of hours of YouTube videos and then provides reports including electric vehicle market trends and automobile sales volumes to its employees. Employees can quickly grasp the latest market trends and check related videos and information according to key keywords.
A, who works in LG Energy Solution’s raw materials department, said, "In the case of lithium, price fluctuations are severe, so efficient inventory management is important, and it is a great help to accurately and quickly reflect industry trends in supply chain management."
LG Energy Solution also utilizes AI technology in the HR field. When new and experienced employees ask questions about HR systems, a conversational chatbot responds. LG Energy Solution explained that this helps experienced employees, who make up 40% of all domestic staff, quickly understand and learn company policies such as leave applications.
