Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) held the children's reading contest 'Ilpilhwiji' at Motgol Hanok Children's Library on the 13th.
This event was held to commemorate the 2nd Library Day (April 12) and Library Week (April 12-18), recreating elementary school students' reading contests and writing competitions in the style of the ancient civil service examinations of their ancestors.
Children dressed in Confucian scholar costumes sat in the front yard of the hanok, showcasing their writing skills and challenging themselves to become the top scorer. The student who achieved the top score was awarded an Eosahwa, highlighting the charm of the traditional event.
