Jung-gu Selected in the Citizen Communication City Category of 'Korea Creative Management 2024'

Jung-gu District in Seoul has been selected in the Citizen Communication City category of the 'Korea Creative Management 2024'.

Kim Gil-seong, Mayor of Jung-gu, achieved remarkable results in local issues based on communication with residents, including the relaxation of height restrictions on Namsan, designation of Myeongdong as a free display zone for outdoor advertisements, and approval of private investment review for the construction project of the Hoehyeon-dong Administrative Complex Town.

In particular, the honor of receiving the Presidential Award at the '13th Local Government Productivity Awards' is a result of realizing various residents' demands into policies based on communication with residents, strengthening culture, education, welfare, and local government competitiveness.

Additionally, to solve local problems, Jung-gu operates 'One-day On-site Mayor's Office' and 'Resident Communication Meetings' by district to build trust administration, and directly addresses residents' inconveniences through the 'Mayor's Communication Text Phone,' which enables communication anytime and anywhere.

Under the motto that 'conflict management is welfare,' Jung-gu plans to operate a 'Conflict Communication Room' to resolve disputes with neighbors and difficult conflicts, and run a Village Conflict Mediation Team to establish a foundation for residents to autonomously resolve conflicts.
