‘2024 Saengsaeng National Heritage’ Project Held at Milyang Yeongnamru

Beophung Sangwon Nori Preservation Society ... Traditional Sound Play Performance and Traditional Game Experience

Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 12th that it will operate a traditional folk sound play performance and a traditional play experience center at Yeongnamnu Pavilion from 1:30 PM on the 13th as part of the Cultural Heritage Administration's '2024 Saengsaeng National Heritage Project.'

The 2024 Saengsaeng National Heritage Project, themed "Form (폼) Beauty (美) Crazy Miryang Folk Sound," is hosted by Miryang City, organized by the Miryang Beopheungsangwon Nori Preservation Society, and sponsored by the Cultural Heritage Administration.

On this day, the event will rediscover the value of local cultural heritage and feature a folk sound play performance that inherits and develops agricultural culture through folk sounds, along with an engaging storytelling session about the history, architecture, and signboards of the national treasure Yeongnamnu Pavilion.

Additionally, a rich traditional play experience center will be prepared, including costume experiences, craft-making activities, jegichagi (shuttlecock kicking), and rolling a hoop. Especially, various contents enjoyable for children are arranged, expected to attract family visitors.

The folk sound play performances and traditional play experience programs, continuing until October this year, will be presented at 1:30 PM on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. From July to August, storytelling sessions about Yeongnamnu Pavilion will be held at the national treasure Miryang Yeongnamnu Pavilion.
