Cheon Ha-ram to Han Dong-hoon: "Eliminated from the Next Presidential Race... True Colors Revealed"

Cheon Ha-ram, the proportional representative elected from the Reform New Party, said on the 12th that he believes Han Dong-hoon, former Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, has been eliminated from the next presidential race.

On the morning of the same day on MBC Radio, Cheon said, "Chairman Han did not show much of a leader’s image leading the party and elections, but still mostly showed the image of a prosecutor," adding, "This time, his true colors were revealed."

Regarding the next leader of the People Power Party, he predicted, "I expect figures like Na Kyung-won and Ahn Cheol-soo, who take a stance against Yongsan, to actively challenge."

Cheon said, "It would be reasonable to appoint a party leader with minimal Yongsan influence," and added, "There might be a possibility that those who want to protect the president get elected."

Responding to some People Power Party members’ criticism that the Reform New Party is a pro-government party, he emphasized, "They themselves are not sound, so how could the Reform New Party collaborate with the People Power Party? We are a clear reform-oriented opposition party without the president."

Regarding the possibility of President Yoon Suk-yeol’s government reshuffle, he said, "I do not expect a president who did not care about public opinion before the election to suddenly care about it when there is no election," adding, "It is somewhat comforting that the People Power Party has produced young first-term lawmakers like Kim Jae-seop and Kim Yong-tae."
